Great improvement!

It was checked in, and I did cvs up.
It works here with MacBook Pro / Mac OS X 10.5.5 / ATI Radeon X1600 / Core2 Duo 
2.3GHz / 2GB.
The fps difference here is around 40-50 without 3D clouds and 20-28 with 3D 
clouds.
I was doing something background so will be a bit faster.

Btw, I changed the weather scenario from none to thunderstorm, turning out to 
be less could in the sky 
this happens with or without --enable-real-weather-fetch.
Is it just with me or already reported?
