Certainly, it seemed to work this way at first, and as long as the 
rates required weren't too high, and the frame rates were 
reasonably steady, worked well.  I think something has gone 
slightly askew somewhere along the way though, as some tests I did 
to dump out the data indicated some pretty wild swings.
