I have a slightly diferent problem. . .I often have (I suspect OpenGL)
video problems on my Linux box:
Hardware is an ATI Rage 128 Chipset agp2X 32MB
P /// 1Ghz CPU
512 MB RAM
software is
Debian Linux (testing)
Flightgear 0.7.9 installed from .deb binaries with all recomended
packages
OpenGL installed and running (I get a correct rendering string)
Xfree86 4.1(something)
2.4.17 kernel with ATI Rage128 DRI and AGP compiled in.

fgfs runs fine if I have just rebooted, but if I load the wrong
aircraft, or if I switch desktops with fgfs running (to answer a
message for example), the video goes "wonky" with large triagnular
sections taked out of the view, and the panel. I can find no
diferences in OpenGL before and after, nor will exiting X and
restarting X fix it. the only solution to get things working again is
a reboot (This may not seem like a big deal for Windows users, but for
a Linux box, it is). Does this sound familliar? does it point to
something being missing/misconfigured? Do I need to take this question
to annother list? Do I sound like a three eyed martian with this?

My second question is "Is there a formatting example available for
.fgfsrc so I can fine tune my settings?

Thanks in advance!
