Perhaps the default FG scenery isn't as exciting as you hoped? If you
only see water where there should be land, then you have a scenery
installation problem.

Well I now have the scenery files in the right place but they're a bit
surrealistic .
Montpellier international airport has two runways extending into the
coastal saltwater marshes and most of the rivers seem to miss thier
estuaries by a couple of hunred yards!
I also managed to find a local gorge that I know quite well and found the
river running half way up the mountain-side, albeit in the right direction.
Montpellier itself is AFAIK the 6th largest city in France but I did not
even notice as I flew over it's grassy plains.
I'm not sure how the river data is put in but there seems to be
significant errors in the coordinates.
Having said that , the satalite data gave enough detail for me to find my
way 30 miles inland and locate the afore mentioned gorge and the plain
beyond and that was quite satisfying.
It was also good having the 373 to take off with since this is what I get
when I fly out. Just a shame it was not Air France or Ryan Air livery (we
dont see many UA flights here! )
So a couple of questions:
1: is there anything that can be done to coordinate the road and river
data to the terrain?
2: how can I set a hot key for a screen shot? By the time I dive for the
mouse I have usually missed the shot or the plane has verred off.
3: Despite have adjusted the weather , there was a lot of humidity that
cut visibility to a couple of miles. How can I get some better weather?
TIA for any tips.
In any case I am very happy to get out of the damn SF Bay area, even if
the scenery has been nicely tweeked. ;)
