Quoting Jonathan Hepburn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Between 'should' and 'does' lies a massive gulf beyond the capacity of mere
mortals to understand. I don't know what it is about my installation, but it
don't work. All that happens, no matter what I try, is that the propeller
kicks for about a third of a revolution. It might be something to do with how
the executable interprets the space bar, I suppose...

From what you describe, that is what I would imagine is your problem. I've said it before, but when people go to the (not inconsiderable!) bother of making nice clickable 3d cockpits, you'd do well to use them! Starting the Spit by clicking
on the relevant buttons and switches is very easy. Just remember to click on
the starter button and _hold_ it there until the engine is up to speed - even
up to about 20 or 30 seconds might be needed IRL IIRC.

I'm also _really_ looking forward to flying the Hurricane. If I can get the
Merlin started.

Yes, the Hurricane is every bit as nice (and a wee bit easier) to fly than the
Spit - sadly my ageing graphics card is not really up to the nicely detailed
model :-(

Cheers,

AJ
