Hello: FGv9.8 ran with no problems on an ATI (Radeon). The computer is new and all drivers were updated before its use for professional work. The FGv9.9 was downloaded, but not over the top of the FGv9.8, as advised to me by Georg, because I prefer to use FGTools and run Atlas at the same time.
What is actually happening: It loads until the point that it is ready to use, but that is as far as it goes. The 737 cockpit is there, but the artificial horizon, compass card and some of the dials are missing! Pressing "v" to obtain other views, there is nothing there. The tool bar at the top of the page is locked and the screen is not interactive. As for the download into a separate folder, I note that certain aspects of FGv9.8, in its own folder of FlightGear/bin/Win32 there are unsolicited changes giving FGv9.9, which were not supposed to happen!!! As for Atlas, when running it on its own all the Maps are there, which I had previously downloaded for FGTools, but when I run Atlas with FG via FGTools, I still get FG crashing and NO maps for any of the corresponding airports/fields! There are, then, perhaps two issues here with; FGv9.9 and FGTools, but one cannot be explained without the other. Perhaps Georg can work out the FGTools issue and anyone else with the FGv9.9 catastrophe. And as for losing FGv9.8; even the desktop icon for this version has automatically pointed itself to FGb9.9. Much is now being mentioned about developers and their lack of testing. It's like architects not living in their own designed houses! Thank you.
