I don't think there is any kind of distributed computing algorythm in FGFS.

There is a very nice network multiplayer approach, but it's not aimed at increasing performance.

There's also a way to send informations about your own airplane to other PCs and let them render the scene on other screens; that's if you want to have mutliple views of the same simultion in real time. But that again is not usefull for increasing the performance of the main machine.

I guess the rendering of the environment is one of the most processor intensive task of the simulation, i.e. the best way for increasing performance is using a fast computer with a very fast vga card :-)

I think networking does not help very much with real time simulation, it brings in latency, and that's bad :-(
