Hi,

I am a new flier (of virtual kind) learning thru FG (and enjoying it alot).

In developing skills, I find it very useful to be able to pause and take a
little time to assess the state of the aircraft: its orientation its height
from the ground etc, then un-pause and continue with the maneuver I had
interrupted.

Obviously, one can read all the state data from the properties, but it would be
nice if you could look left and right to get a bearing of the the horizon, or
"step out" of the aircraft to visually check its position and orientation as
well. Unfortunately, the view switching is disabled during the pause.

Do you see this as an "improvement", however small it is?

I am eager to look into implementing this.

Ignorant of code, one thinks it should not be too hard to allow switching the
views in paused state.

Is there any insurmountable code architecture/design hurdles with implementing
this idea that a new-comer cannot easily see?

Looking forward to your opinions and advice.

Thanks,

Yavuz Onder
