Thank-you Fred,

I now have the light visible from the correct angles. I did notice a few things in my experimenting; - The flash animation *requires* the rotate animation to be present. If I comment out the rotate animation, the light stops flashing and is only visible from one side. - No matter what values I adjust, I can't get the light to give that *bright* flash when the beam hits the observer like the airport beacon does. The main difference I can see is; the beacon uses a <axis><z> value=0.1 and a <power>value=100. If I understand correctly the axis/z value tilts the beam in the horizontal plane and power value narrows the beam in the vertical plane?

:-D ene

???
If you read carefully the doc, power is not in watt ( ;-) ) but is an exposant of a value that is in the [-1,1] range ( the cosine ). That means that greater
the <power> value is, narrower the beam would be.

That could imply that your lamp is just faded by the ambiant fog.

That's because you have a <z> axis component that is not null. The angle of the
beam is atan( 0.1 / 1 ) radian, approx 5.7 degrees up from the horizontal.

You negative y axis shouldn't help.
