Hey Group;
Using  "/usr/bin/fgfs --jsclient=extreme-3"

I have been experimenting with different button numbers in
extreme-3d-pro.xml. What I am finding is that button number 5 is alway
connected to the RED knob mixture. To prove this I have deleted just
about all of the button info except buttons 10 and 11 leaving all axis
info. Bring up "/usr/bin/fgfs --jsclient=extreme-3" and up comes
Flightgear. Move the view around to the tail and hit button #3 the
Elevator goes up (correct), then hit number 5 and the engine stops.
That is due to the RED knob mixture backing out.

I then left number 3 alone and added the original #3 and #5 buttons
values - nothing changes. #5 still stalls the engine.

I would think button could be matched so that up/down is obvious.
And rich/lean should be left to the keyboard
(currently <SHIFT>m (out) and m (in))
