Incredibly difficult, to say the least. Knowing the zero point of the model is fine, but to have something to reference that against has been my trouble. The Brisbane CBD is highly constrained by the Brisbane river, but the flightgear terrain representation of the river is almost useless. Where the real river has subtle curves over a few hundred metres the fg terrain has 2 coarse zigzags that are about 100 metres too wide. That has made placing the model nearly impossible, and I think I will need to find a georeference on a couple of buildings to accurately place and rotate that model... Its only roughly in place, and until I can get better data it will stay like that. Even when I place it accurately some buildings will sit in the river, because I cannot get the tools working to fix that... Kind regards, Chris Wilkinson, Brisbane, Australia. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
