Hi Ampere,
I don't do enough detailed observations in the Northern hemisphere.... 
if anyone with N-Hemi experience can give me an airport that might be a 
candidate for this effect I'll be happy to investigate (ie runway 
roughly on N-S axis and bounded by sea at one or either end)
