Hari Shreedharan commented on FLUME-1252:
-----------------------------------------
Juhani - Also there is no hard version dependency. The version dependency in
the logs is caused only by the HBase and HDFS versions in your classpath and
their compatibility(this is well documented). Also the NoSuchMethodErrors in
the logs isn't causing the test failure. The failure seems to be because the
hbase minicluster shutdown is not happening cleanly, because the ZK cluster was
shutdown before it - though it isn't causing a failure on my setup(on Mac and
CentOS 5). Either way, I will update it, please see if it works on your dev box
with the new patch .
Also you should be able to use async and asynchbase-1.3.0. The reason I didn't
use it was that I could not find it on Maven.

> The current HBase sink is synchronous/blocking. Asynchbase HBase client
> outperforms HTable. It would be nice to have an HBase sink that uses
> asynchbase.
