Hari - I vetoed the commit for FLUME-1240 as I consider it extremely rude to
create more work for people who are trying to fix another Jira issue. I
personally don't care about Windows but others have stated they do.
As I am a PMC member and by ASF policy my -1 on a code commit must be honored I
am giving you three choices to resolve my veto: 1) revert the commit for
FLUME-1240, 2) create the support for Windows so you aren't creating extra work
for those working on FLUME-1174, or 3) ask the people working on FLUME-1174 if
they would also be willing to take on this task (and update that Jira) instead
of just dumping it on them.
