Ralph - I have asked them for their comments. As of now, there is no way that
Flume will run on Windows and this or the previous does not change that. There
is no flume-ng script to run an agent on Windows. As I said FLUME-1174 is an
attempt to make it build on Windows and not to get Flume working on Windows.
I have nothing more to say about this.
I believe this whole discussion is unwarranted and if we need a Windows
version, there needs to be effort put in on that side, rather than saying that
all features should be available on all platforms, even on the ones you cannot
run the agent on.
