Hi Chuck, Is it possible to use global variables instead? At the start of the script the global is set the same as $$Rep field would be set.

One aspect is to use Variables to hold information across tables and scripts. I'm running into a small problem when it comes to doing calculations to set variable values when variables are part of the calculation. Case in point.... Set Variable $$Value to Value: GetRepetition ( $$RepField ; $$RepNumber ) // where $$RepField is set to the field name of a repetition field in the layout active in the database and $$RepNumber is the number of the repetition of $ $RepField. I'm getting a question mark instead of the text in the field. What is the proper way of doing this? Regards, Chuck
