Put it on a separate layout. Go to the layout, refresh the screen and run the script. Go back to your regularly scheduled programming after :-)

I have a script that creates a bunch of records, and it takes upwards of 10 seconds to complete the task. Between the time the user gives the go-ahead to do it and the time the task runs to completion, I'd like to flash a brief message on the screen saying "Thanks. Please wait a bit.". This is NOT a dialog ("di-" implies that the user may have something to say back), it's a monolog - 1-way, from me to the user, no response expected or desired.

I figured I could probably achieve this objective just by inserting a Show Custom Dialog step and not entering anything in any of the 3 button-label boxes, then following it with a Pause/Resume Script step with a duration of 1 second. Alas, foiled. FMP automatically displays my dialog box with an "OK" button.

Anyone got any hints about how I can just flash my monolog box?
