Brian Stell> Documentation please.

Andrew Aitchison> Brian, that it ungracious.

BS> ??? why?

We get a donation and the first thing that anyone from XFree86
says is "More ?".
Sorry, you did say "please";
I thought you should have said "thank you" first :-)

BS> Why would wanting more info on this be considered a problem?

A commercial organization can't be expected to make pre-releases on
request, or say in advance exactly what they will release;
suggesting they might not document it isn't very flattering.
I took it for granted that a formal release from a professional
company would include appropriate documentation.

Fair enough. I didn't like the idea of you working away for months,
only for Sun to come along with something which make it obsolete.
I understand that ST may not do this, but *if* Sun thought that
that were the case I hope that they would have given you a hint that
they were working in the same area.
We aren't aiming for competing products, so I hope we don't treat
each other as rivals.
