Looked like dracut wasn't in first trove of updates and failed when dracut-config-rescue was trying to update in first trove of updates. When that was fixed by updating dracut and dracut-config-rescue first, everything else went fine from sync command.
But after the sync command was done, conary stopped working. Looks like I'm missing popt that never get installed. That needs to be installed. See: http://sprunge.us/QiKd Will reinstall and confirm the dracut issue though.
