Fossil commands can be abbreviated to their shortest unambiguous prefix.
Maybe the same could be done with options?

Also, occurs to me that maybe the syntax could be "fossil edit subcommand
UUID ?OPTIONS?" so you could have, for exmple, "fsl ed n UUID NEWBRANCH"
(assuming you alias fossil to fsl)
