Yes, this is possible and even proven to be possible. I have a fieldtest delphi bytecode compiler from borland inprise times. Never made it to market, but it works.
Ask Codegear of they are willing to give you a specimen of this oldy.

Did you use the FPC parser code in your project ?

If yes, it would be great to add "Java Byte Code" as an architecture for FPC. This makes a lot more sense than a stand-alone project.


You speak of problems when using pointers. Is the compiler able to work with classes (which are pointers in FPC) ? Does it use Java classes for this ?
