While accurate, this point is not relevant to the discussion at hand. I believe this discussion is about some people (including myself) feeling that ports are removed too aggressively. I would like to add my small voice to the people calling for some restraint on this. Ports that continue to work, despite years of changes in other software, shouldn't be removed. Those are likely the some of the best written ports.
