All my recipes that used to work in 4-stable seem to fail in 5-stable.
When I invoke procmail with what looks like the same files, I get unknown
mailer error 1 messages in maillog.

It would be nice if we could see some of these rules and the exact log
messages.

# Pine uses $HOME/mail
# Mutt and Elm use $HOME/Mail
MAILDIR=$HOME/mail   #This directory must exist!!!

# Use a seperate directory to store reciepes and logs

# Tell procmail where to put the log file

# Add recipe files here
INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/spamassassin.rc
#INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/nkvir-rc
INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/lists.rc

Procmail and mail directories both exist.

Additional googling suggests adding a local mc file to enable procmail as a delivery agent.
