Many people complain about the redundancy of partitions and slices. Let's remove one level as the suggest. As the PC architecture uses fdisk partitions, let's use that. I can see other arguments for and against this, including using fdisk-only on other architectures too. I considered one argument for and two against my suggestion so status quo it is.
