Right, i have a dead 250GB Maxline Plus II drive on my desk, only after
about 1.5 years. At least its still on warranty.

On the other hand: In the department for physics of the athmosphere, where I built six years ago a server for meteorological data, a RAID-5 with 4 older IBM U160 SCSI discs still works - 24/7. Never had a problem!
