Hi,
I have the same problem in Polish and I guess it is true for all Slavic
languages: declensions (different noun forms depending on the role in the
sentence), different verb and numerals forms depending on gender, etc. I'm
not a coder, but i guess it would be very difficult to handle all this,
since various languages would require various solution (and they would
differ a lot across languages). As for Polish, following the conventions
established by previous translators, I try to predict the most frequent form
or use a "default" form (like the nominative for nouns, regardless of the
position is a the sentence). This creates a Tarzan-like Polish in some
places ("I be good."), but it's understandable and as far as I notices it is
tolerated by players.
But in pronciple, I agree that having some sophisticated mechanism for
putting every form of every language in the correct context would be great
:)
