Hm... tricky as a verb. "Ais òstair Cazfi" would work.
Perhaps a slightly different wording - how about just "Geama sa
Ghàidhlig" "a game in Gaelic"? Or "Cluicheadairean Gàidhlig" Gaelic players?

I've had 2.3 server in English running since 2.3.0 was released and

I think that server spends some proportion of its time saying
"restarting soon for lack of players" (in English). Perhaps that could
be localised too?
Not too worried about that being in English. Perhaps many people just
aren't aware that's what the meta-server tab does?
All localisations known to the Freeciv build system can be used at
run-time, regardless of whether they are incomplete.
Ah... that's actually hepful for testing. Yes, managed to run the Irish
game. Neat.
