There has been a message today (I just lost it :( ) about FreeDOS 1.0 and I want to give my opinion:
Only one program is missing and that is a Scan-Disk (written as 2 words) utility for Fat32. For what I kow, DOSFSCK is working and need only a small fixes in the read sector.
IMHO a working version od DOSFSCK should be included in version 1.0 to have a full set of tools.
I don't believ that we will see a working and debugged version of either chkdsk or scandisk any time soon ...
Now we have a good FORMAT, and even a EMM386 (will be working soon) :)
