The short answer is — At present, the online repo management tools do not support multi-line descriptors. Everything after the first line is ignored. So, stuff on additional lines is excluded from the automatically generated web pages, rss feed and listing.csv files. This is mostly do to shear laziness on my part. Eventually, I will get around to making version 3 of the repo management utilities. Partly for performance, partly for multi-platform support, partly to make it easier for others to use, partly due to some other stuff. Lots of little reasons.
