Perhaps it would be best to remove the link to the SourceForge tracker...
How about keeping the link, but making it more explicit that this is for OLD bugs? Maybe also disable creation of new tickets there? I would not make it completely read-only, so people can write updates about open bugs and eventualy close them. Alternatively, the old bugs could be migrated to gitlab somehow?
it's likely that some folks have the old SF bug tracker bookmarked
