Hi!

At present, FDTUI is located under the Application group and is therefore on
the Install Disc (not the BonusCD).

The consensus was (starting with 1.4) to install all packages on the Install CD
when Full is chosen in order to help reduce confusion.

To not install FDTUI with full, we have two options.

1) as Tom and Willi suggest We just leave it out of the release and relegate it
to a downloadable package.

2) move it to the Utility group. Then it could be included on the BonusCD and
only installed when the user wants it.

I have probably made those suggestions before.
What are your thoughts/votes on the following?

- keep FDTUI in APPS, or move to GUI

- move BOOTFIX to BOOT
- add METAKERN to BOOT
- rename SYSLNX to SYSLINUX

- move CDROM2UI to SOUND
- add DPMIONE to TOOLS (CWSDPMI already is there)

- move EDIT to Install (size as NET and more useful)

- move DISK to Install (total size is only 4.3 MB)

Move the following to TOOLS, or all of UTIL to Install:

- DOS32A (CWSDPMI already is there)
- TP7P5FIX (runtime error 200 fix)
- FDSHIELD (antiviral shield)
- DOG (command shell)
- SEARCH (finds files)

- PDTREE / WCD (navigates tree)
- ZDIR (directory lister)
- FLASHROM (BIOS updater)
- LISTPCI / LISTVESA / PCISLEEP (diagnostics)
- MEMTESTE (diagnostics)

- HEXCOMP (binary diff)
- FOXTYPE / PG (text file viewers)
- UTF8TOCP (tiny recode alternative)
- GNUCHCP / GNUFONTS (more fonts??)

It is a bit unfortunate that GAMES and DEVEL are
both too large, so we had to push one to Bonus.

Usefulness here depends a lot on target audience.
Few games, debuggers, asm and compilers are small.

Regards, Eric
