Hi!

I was searching for a while a way to display PDF files under FreeDOS. I tried
Acroread for DOS, but it's not supporting newer PDF files. I found that
GhostScript can display PS file, and a DOS port of Xpdf can convert PDF to
PS. Finally, I learned about PSVIEW - a project which is expected to combine
GS + PDFTOPS + LXPIC. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it working.

That's why I made DOSPDF.

DOSPDF is just a batch file which calls GhostScript, PDFTOPS (from the Xpdf
package) and LxPic to display PDF files in DOS. I made it because Acrobat
Reader for DOS can't read the newer PDF format.

IMPORTANT: DOSPDF MUST BE UNZIPPED IN THE C:\DOSPDF DIRECTORY. Otherwise
it will not work (at least until you modify the DOSPDF.BAT file).

The package contains the following pieces of free software:
Aladdin GhostScript v5.10 [GPL]
PDFTOPS v3.02 (from Xpdf) [GPL]
LxPic v7.3 [Freeware]

I hope DOSPDF will be usefull to anyone!
