Follow-up Comment #30, sr #111312 (group freeipmi): Ok, so to my surprise, "char" is implementation specific. It is not always assumed to be an "signed char". On ARM, it apparently is "unsigned".
I need to do some code auditing to see if the casting w/ char is done
elsewhere in FreeIPMI. I'll push a fix sometime soon and you can try it out.
