Well - yeah, but assuming that the default functionality is to allow
others to use your node as a shield (and the more I think about it, the
less inclined I am to make this optional), then it won't mean much that
someone else uses your node in this way, since all it means is that
someone else managed to find your node address.  Also, it could be
arranged so that nodes collect a pool of potential shield nodes and use
them on a rotation.
