  I don't understand what you're getting at.  The message the server
prints means nothing more than it's in the middle of an EAP
conversation, and therefore didn't see an EAP Start.  There is nothing
wrong.

i'm still doing something wrong, as the client won't authenticate.


it may be that i don't have the client sending the proper credentials. i really don't know here. i'm new to the whole tunnelled security thing ( other than 'basic' SSH/ SSL ), so i'm more than willing to admit a problem on my end. but i'm trying to confirm that.

even the initial output from the RADIUS server says that 'no EAP Start' found. i just fired up the server fresh and powered up the AP.
