It means you're using dynamic expansion. See doc/variables.txt. And you don't fix that. For the user which *did* work, the debug log says: > users: Matched [EMAIL PROTECTED] at 198024 > modcall[authorize]: module "files" returns ok for request 0 So that one matches in the "users" file, but the one that didn't work failed because it didn't match the "users" file.
