Hi Bruce: As you know - along with Volume, Thickness and SA, FS also gives curvature numbers for the 5 subregions of the CC. In my dataset, which is comparing High risk offsping of SZ subjects and healthy controls, the curvature numbers show a siginficant difference (p < 0.03) between the groups. In addition these curvature numbers are negatively correlated with aspects of cognition such as working memory and attention (p < 0.002).
I am finding difficulty interpreting the results since I am unsure how curvature is measured. thanks, Alan On Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 7:18 PM, Bruce Fischl <[email protected]>wrote: > Hi Alan, > > which curvature index do you mean? > > Bruce > > On Mon, 16 Aug 2010, Alan Francis wrote: > > Hi All: >> >> Does a lower score on the curvature index of the CC (as done by >> FreeSurfer) >> imply that the Corpus Callosum is more curved (smaller radius) or is it >> the >> other way around? >> >> >> thank you, >> >> Alan >> >> |~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~| >> >> Alan Francis >> Brain Spectroscopy and Neuroimaging Lab >> Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center >> Dept of Psychiatry >> Harvard Medical School >> Boston 02215 >> >> > > The information in this e-mail is intended only for the person to whom it > is > addressed.
