Hi Maria,

Yes, you are editing aseg.mgz. After saving the segmentation, you should run
<recon-all -s subject_name -autorecon2 -autorecon3>.
If you also added some control points, then you should run
<recon-all -s subject_name -autorecon2-cp -autorecon3>
