I've also fixed the bug by using my own, now-outdated copies of
FreeSurfer's MATLAB functions (
https://github.com/epiSurg/EpiSurg/tree/master/FSURF_MATLAB), but I'm
hoping the FreeSurfer developers can fix it in the current releases.
