The 7.2.0 release does have Ubuntu 18 binaries and an installer available via the link above. I believe those binaries should run on Ubuntu 20. Installed images of freesurfer (including Ubuntu 18 binaries) are available in various system images including a container, a VM, and also you can run it under the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
