So for Ubuntu 22 running in WSL, you would download one of the freesurfer_ubuntu22-7.X.X_amd64.deb files into Ubuntu linux and install it. That would install freesurfer as /usr/local/freesurfer/7.x.x in the Ubuntu Linux image running in WSL.
