As a quality control step, I have been removing those subjects for whom the output volume of any subunit is exactly zero, assuming that the segmentation failed for those cases. I have run this with FreeSurfer versions 7.2.0 (with the --threads flag enabled to 4) and 7.4.1 (without the --threads flag, as it caused the process to fail). From my 1,732 subjects, using the exclusion criteria of zero-volume in any subunit: * With version 7.2.0, I had to exclude about 17% of subjects. * With version 7.4.1, this number jumps to 72%. My question is: why is the latest version (7.4.1) producing so many 0 in some subunits? I’ve seen that some changes were introduced to this module in version 7.3.2.
