They just described this regarding the ICC in their methods section: "For
the present study, intrinsic cortical curvature was calculated using
Gaussian curvature calculations in the following regions of interest from
both the left (LH) and right (RH) hemispheres: the caudal anterior
cingulate cortex (henceforth “ACC”), the rostral middle frontal cortex
(henceforth “DLPFC”), the superior parietal region (henceforth “parietal
cortex”), and the superior temporal region (henceforth “temporal cortex”).
The regions of ICC quantification were chosen from their delineation atlas,
the Desikan-Killiany cortical atlas (Desikan et al., 2006), for their
approximation to regions of observed glutamatergic dysregulation (Iwata et
al., 2019; Shah et al., 2020b) and structural decline (Anderson et al.,
2015; Bodnar et al., 2010; Fan et al., 2023; Wannan et al., 2019) in
available literature."
