Ok. I'll test this hopefully this weekend. Nonetheless, I think the whole audio configuration thing is going to get pretty messy. I'm mulling about how to enable DMA audio for Radio listening, but the existing tools (e.g., fm) don't do anything other than tune the frequency on the TV Capture card. There's the 'arecord | aplay -' solution suggested by the V4L2 Wiki. Sox didn't work the 2nd time for me (when the adevice setting for mplayer live TV viewing finally worked). The arecord+aplay delay wasn't really perceptible for radio listening (though it is bad for TV viewing) -- I tested this by enabling both Line In and arecord+aplay, there wasn't any real echo. Currently there's several possible configuration AFAIK: 1. Analog TV Capture + Line In (works as is) 2. Analog TV Capture + DMA audio (needs additional setup for radio, difficult to setup for tv viewing using mplayer) 3. Digital TV (DVB-T, etc.) (I've no experience with these cards) The audio settings are scattered across several commands/config variables. There's MPLAYER_AO_DEV, VCR_CMD (and associated AUDIO configuration), VIDEO_GROUPS and most probably RADIO_CMD_START/STOP. Playback and Recording settings are configured differently as well. A newbie would probably be confused as to which does what. Hopefully in 2.0 this would be redesigned. Would providing a standard DMA audio capture interface (like how Line In was assumed to be the audio input for TV Capture cards) as part of the Freevo mixer module be a better solution?
