Ahh! Finally! I followed your directions (with the exception of using "geometry=720x480" for ntsc) and it works! The Directfb-0.9.19 looks like it did the trick.
The only problem i'm having now with the basic Freevo setup is that there is quite a bit of flicker in the SDL menus. Mplayer plays using dfbmga and looks awesome, but the Freevo menus are almost seizure-inducing. What settings should I tweak to fix this?
