Hi Mick, I think that Michael got a little bit beyond what I was asking for. For sure, there are options which are difficult to set from inside freevo, as you pointed out. And maybe, it's even right that normal users actually _can't_ do that. But maybe, taking a strict amount of options to the gui should be fine, I'm thinking mostly about mplayer/xine options (more mplayer than xine) and TV channels. As for the matter with freevo reloading its config at boot time, maybe one should also think of removing those configs from the config file and putting them elsewhere, seen that those options are only used by external programs.
