Q: Who can tell me the versions of lirc and FC3 thay have working together? Did you compile to a source kernel or with the --with-kernel tag, or did you use a lirc*.rpm?
All right, I've spend 2 1/2 weeks trying to get lirc to work. Depending on the combo of the lirc version and the source I compile to, I get one of two errors in dmesg: lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 61 lirc_i2c: no version for "lirc_unregister_plugin" found: kernel tainted. OR lirc_dev: no version for "struct_module" found: kernel tainted. lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 61 Irrecord says this: irrecord: could not open /dev/lirc irrecord: default_init(): No such device irrecord: could not init hardware (lircd running ? --> close it, check permissions) It tried the lirc mailing list, and got no response.
