not quite, you can no longer offer an upstream download source and claim to be
abiding by the GPL.
there have been several sites out of business recently over this eg cipherfunk
they have to offer it to you. they may charge for it.
however, I cannot see where they are acknowledging that they have used other
persons' copyrighted code, nor offer any source code or route to source code.
having managed to boot the new version, install it to hard drive and then
mount it I have found that it has used some ubuntu versions of packages and
manged to identify the version of gcc used - an essential to any progress.
