I have a Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2H, which has an Intel G33 chipset with GMA-3100
graphics. I put a Core2Duo 6600 in it and I can play full 1080p content just
fine via HDMI. It really only slows on *very* high bitrate content, such as
direct from a Bluray/HD-DVD. If I had my time back, I probably would have
bought a slightly faster CPU. There is work being done to greatly speed up
video acceleration on these chips (The plan is actually to go much further
than Nvidia/ATI in this regard), but I have found the performance more than
acceptable as-is, since it has no trouble pushing 1920x1080 pixels.

My board has an ALC889A, which works perfectly.
