Python 2.4.4 is the default on Debian 4.0, though 2.5 is available. My only excuse for using debian 4.0, though, is that the machine has been running for a very long time. Since before ubuntu was a realistic alternative (for me). Since early 2004 iirc. It's a machine i use extensively, and having it out of comission for a day or two so i can load a fancy new OS is a hardship. I don't only use it for freevo. I actually still had python 2.3 installed alongside 2.4 for some reason. I've still got stuff on there that i migrated from a previous machine - the oldest file in my home directory is dated june 23 1999. I've only just installed 2.5, 2.4 seems to still be the default. I'm not sure what the migration entails, though I'm sure i could figure it out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword _______________________________________________ Freevo-users mailing list Freevo-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freevo-users
